GLYNCO, Ga. — The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) hosted the maiden voyage of the Law Enforcement sUAS Pilot Instructor Collaboration and Technology Forum from Sept. 17 through 19, in Glynco, Ga. The event brought together experts and practitioners nationwide to exchange ideas, best practices, and innovative procedures related to small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) programs. It provided a vital platform for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to collaborate on the evolving landscape of sUAS usage in government operations.

GLYNCO, Ga. - The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul E. Baker as its new Deputy Director. Mr. Baker brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in law enforcement training and leadership development across multiple federal agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). He will officially assume his new role on October 7, 2024.

In a significant move to enhance international investigative capabilities, Department of the Army hosted the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), Introduction to Criminal Investigation Training Program (ICITP) in Tokyo, Japan, from June 17 - 27, 2024.

The latest addition, NEO, a 70-pound Quadrupedal Unmanned Ground Vehicle (Q-UGV), exemplifies this commitment to innovation from the FLETC Cyber Division (CYD), Technical Investigations Branch (TIB). 

Law enforcement professionals gathered at the Regional Organized Crime Information Center in Nashville, TN from April 16 - 18, 2024 for an export of the Cyber Tools for Active Shooter Prevention and Response (CASPR) course, provided by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) marking the third iteration of the course. The training equipped officers with the latest strategies to combat digital crimes through hands-on exercises and theoretical teachings.

This dynamic program brings together top law enforcement executives and command-level staff from agencies across the nation for an intensive two-week curriculum focused on crisis leadership and resiliency. 

GLYNCO, Ga. - eFLETC, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Learning Management System (LMS), recently demonstrated its diverse capabilities with the successful pilot of the Law Enforcement Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training two-week program in Glynco, GA. This highlighted one of the many critical roles in enhancing law enforcement education. eFLETC provides interactive tools and resources. Currently, 156 training programs use eFLETC.

In a significant decision on March 28, 2024, during the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), Curriculum Review Conference (CRC), the FLETC ascertained stakeholder’s approval for the proposed updates to the Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP).

Born in 2003, UOFITP initially started as a course aimed at empowering instructors within the Practical Application Branch.
