The FLETC Cheltenham Visitor Center (Building 6) is open on Mondays at 5:30 am to process students arriving for classes. The visitor center hours are Monday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm and Tuesday – Friday 6:00 am – 4:00 pm.

All classes, except Firearm requalifications:

On the first day of class report to the Visitor Center, Building 6, at least 30 minutes before the start of class for student badging. Badging starts at 5:30 am on Mondays. Students will need either a valid Federal or State Government issued identification.

If you are carrying a WEAPON, AMMUNITION, and/or CHEMICAL AGENT and are scheduled for Non-Firearms/Non-Chemical Agent training:

  • Report to Building 6 and secure your weapon, ammunition and/or chemical agent in a weapons locker
  • Obtain a student badge
  • Report to your assigned class location

All Firearms Requalifications

Report to either entrance gate to declare your firearm, show your agency issued credentials and receive an “Armed” identification badge. Proceed directly to building 5, firing ranges with no intermittent stops. Once firearms requalification training is complete, exit the center from the firing ranges (building 5) with no intermittent stops.

WEAPONS AND CHEMICAL AGENTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED EXCEPT WITHIN AND WHILE TRANSPORTING DIRECTLY TO AND FROM FIREARMS TRAINING IN BUILDING 5 (FIREARMS RANGES)
FIREARMS TRAINING PROGRAM STUDENTS (AIM, APTP, APTITP, FITP, FIRTP, LERTP, etc.)

  • Report to Building 6 to obtain a RED BADGE
  • Obtain a RED PARKING PASS from the security gate
  • Proceed directly to Building 5

ALL STUDENTS participating in any exercise requiring the operation of a government vehicle, must carry in their possession and present upon request by a FLETC official or instructor, their valid state driver’s license.  Anyone found to have a revoked, suspended, or expired driver’s license will not be allowed to participate in any exercise requiring the operation of a government vehicle and will be considered to have failed to meet the requirements for graduation from the training program being attended. Anyone knowingly participating in Driver Training with no current valid license, or with a suspended or revoked license may be subject to disciplinary action. There are no exceptions to this policy.
