Description
The PSITP provides specialized training to personnel who will be involved with a product substitution investigation. Emphasis is placed on investigative skills related topics to include: delivery of inferior substandard materials, delivery of untested product/materials, falsification of test results, misrepresentation of inspection and quality assurance, delivering used or reworked parts, noncompliance with contract processes, counterfeit parts, substitution of product with foreign made items, and using unqualified employees. The program includes an on-site training venue and is culminated with a final practical exercise.
Prerequisites
This program is open to investigators, auditors, analysts, attorneys, and individuals serving as direct law enforcement support personnel. The PSITP students should have basic understanding of the government acquisition process prior to taking this program.
This training program is a required prerequisite to obtaining the Fraud Investigator Certificate in partnership with the Defense Acquisition University.
