Designed for agencies whose missions include use of Four-Wheel Drive equipped vehicles for Search and Rescue, assisting motorists, or officers/agents operating in natural disaster and hazardous environments.
Our Philosophy of training is one of “Equipment Preservation” based on safety and proper use of off-road equipment. Our course includes topics such as:
Winching and vehicle recovery techniques
Proper use of Off-Road Vehicle Systems
Brake Throttle Modulation
Obstacle Negotiation
Instructional methodology consists of some classroom lecture and mostly hands-on behind the wheel learning. It is available through the Vehicle Ambush Countermeasures Training Program (VACTP) and the Law Enforcement Advanced Driver Instructor Program (LEADITP).
