At the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), relationships with over ninety Partner Organizations (POs) are vital to delivering cutting edge training to law enforcement trainees. Recently, the FLETC Driver and Marine Division, Marine Training Branch (MTB) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) demonstrated how cohesive their partnership is.

The USCG donated the six 25-foot Safe Boats all in like-new condition to use for training at FLETC-Glynco. These will be used for the Marine Law Enforcement Training Program, Inland Boat Operator Training Program, and Boat Operator Anti-Terrorism Program. The net worth of the donation is valued at over 1.1 million dollars. MTB Chief Jeff McDonald estimates that these vessels will easily provide ten years of service for training. Currently, MTB manages over thirty vessels. The majority of these are maintained and purchased at no cost to FLETC, saving millions in funding.

Strong relationships like this one, prove how essential interactions are amongst FLETC staff and POs. All FLETC and PO staff are integral assets for continued, collaborative efforts in providing excellent training to current and future law enforcement.
