ARTESIA, N.M. – Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad F. Wolf visited the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC)-Artesia on February 11, 2020. FLETC Director Thomas J. Walters and Artesia Site Director Terry Todd welcomed Acting Secretary Wolf on his first visit to the FLETC-Artesia training facility. Director Walters showed Secretary Wolf the state-of-the-art training facilities, and the Acting Secretary observed law enforcement trainees participate in various training scenarios.
During the visit, Secretary Wolf and Director Walters met with staff and students, which gave them an opportunity to interact directly with trainees and instructors. They discussed training and other topics of interest at the FLETC-Artesia facility.
Acting Secretary Wolf also attended a U.S. Border Patrol Graduation, where he presided over the ceremony of Border Patrol Class 1132. “I’m proud of the Border Patrol’s role in securing our Nation. My pride can only be matched by gratitude for agents that stand the watch…”
