GLYNCO, GEORGIA – The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) will temporarily close the Chapel Crossing Road gate beginning Monday, Feb. 25, through late March due to main gate area renovations.
FLETC will open two temporary gates to assist the flow of traffic during the project. These gates, one located off Chapel Crossing Road and the other off Glynco Parkway at Sidney Lanier Drive, will be open Monday through Friday only, excluding federal holidays. The FLETC Vogel Road commercial gate, located adjacent to Glynco Parkway, will remain open.
To help alleviate traffic during peak morning and afternoon times, the temporary gates will be open to FLETC and other credentialed individuals from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m., and from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. No commercial vehicles will be allowed to enter through the temporary gates.
FLETC is aware that these renovations may have an impact along Glynco Parkway and the intersection of Highway 17 and Canal Road. FLETC is working diligently with the Glynn County Police Department to address and mitigate any possible impacts to its staff and the daily routines of Glynn County residents.
