FLETC Honors Our Nation's Heroes

For Immediate Release

Glynco, GA — The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center hosted a tour and luncheon to honor our nation’s heroes on Nov. 6 at the FLETC headquarters in Glynco, Georgia. The visit, which was sponsored by the FLETC Veterans Association Council, is a way for the FLETC to show appreciation to those who sacrificed much for our nation’s freedom.

More than 25 veterans and family members in the local community visited the training facility to have an opportunity to observe the training provided to the tens of thousands students training at FLETC sites each year, see demonstrations of various training technology, visit memorial sites, and attend a luncheon and reception in their honor.

“This place is a lot different than it was 72 years ago,” said Gene Broadwell, a World War II Veteran who served at the Glynco site.

The FLETC Veterans Association Council serves as an information source on veteran affairs and peer support for veteran-related issues for staff and family members.

FLETC Director Connie Patrick said, “We are honored to be able to show our appreciation for those who have made and continue to make the selfless decision to defend our Nation and secure our freedom.”
