Description
The LEMNTP prepares students to deploy broadband IP networks for crime scene management, tactical responses, and high-profile special event monitoring where network infrastructure is not available. This equipment can be deployed overtly or covertly between two remote points, along parade routes, or around event perimeters. Cameras, voice/text communication, and other Internet-based devices bring situational awareness to onsite command posts and offsite headquarters.
The LEMNTP students will learn the basics of radio frequency transmissions, IP networking, and deployment strategies. Students will spend the majority of their time setting-up mesh networks in real-world scenarios. The LEMNTP uses pre-configured event kits that allow students to deploy the latest mesh network and camera technologies.
