Hardware Data Acquisition Training Program

Acronym
HDATP
Length
10 Days
Locations Offered

Description

This class will cover basic and advanced mobile device repair as well as circuit board level methods for extracting data from the memory chip of digital devices such as mobile devices (i.e., cell phones), popular Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and modern vehicles. This class covers how to identify which methods are available and the order the methods should be employed when presented with devices that are owner-locked, encrypted, physically damaged, require non-supported traditional extraction methods, or in the absence of a data port. Students will learn the importance of using hardware and software tools used for collection and extraction of digital devices.

At the conclusion of this two-week program, the training participant will have demonstrated, through the successful completion of labs and a practical exercise, that they have functional knowledge of Hardware Data Acquisition.

Students must attend each block of instruction and satisfactorily complete all labs and practical exercises of the program to receive a Certificate of Training. These objectives will be addressed through lecture, discussion, labs and practical exercise, and demonstrations of relevant techniques.
