Glynco, GA - The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is pleased to announce the selection of Ariana M. Roddini as FLETC’s Associate Director for Training Operations (ADT) effective February 12, 2023.
As ADT, Ms. Roddini will oversee FLETC’s four training directorates, including Core Training, Technical Training, Training Management, and National Capital Region Training. She will have responsibility for all FLETC training operations across training delivery points in Georgia, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Maryland, as well as international, state, local, and tribal training at locations around the country and world.
Upon her selection, ADT Roddini said, “It is an honor to be selected as FLETC’s third Associate Director for Training Operations. I am excited to lead this exceptional team towards identifying and implementing innovations to training to ensure the support we provide our partner organizations is exceptional and leverages today’s best operational and educational practices in the pursuit of FLETCs vision to be America’s enterprise resource for federal law enforcement training.”
ADT Roddini joined FLETC in 2006 and has most recently served as the Assistant Director for FLETC’s Training Management Operations Directorate, where she provided oversight and strategic direction to six training and administration divisions across four training sites located in different states. Her span of oversight included Training Management, Training Resources Coordination, Accreditation and Instructor Development, E-Learning and Innovation, Charleston Training Operations, and Student Administration and Scheduling System Program Management.
Before becoming the Assistant Director for Training Management, Roddini served in dual roles as the Acting Chief of Protocol and Communications, where she oversaw FLETC’s communications and public affairs programs, and Deputy Assistant Director for the Core Training Operations Directorate, with responsibility over FLETC’s firearms, physical techniques, enforcement operations, and driver/marine training operations. She previously served as Deputy Assistant Director for the Regional and International Training Directorate, with oversight over FLETC's international, state, local, and tribal training.
Deputy Director Kai J. In her new role, I am confident that she will challenge the status quo to ensure FLETC training operations continuously evolve to meet the operational demands of our law enforcement partners.”
ADT Roddini began her law enforcement career in 1994 as a fraud investigator for the New York City Department of Health and Human Services, where she was responsible for the investigation of fraud, waste, and abuse in the welfare system. In 1996, she joined the United States Secret Service (USSS) as a Special Agent. During her tenure with the USSS, she was assigned to the Office of Investigations, the Office of Training, and the Office of Protective Research. ADT Roddini also served as a member of the New York City Police Department Asian Organized Crime Task Force and the Joint Terrorism Task Force. As a criminal investigator, she conducted complex investigations related to counterfeit currency, access device fraud, bank fraud, computer fraud, and threats against the President. She has also conducted protection-related advances and served as a logistical or site coordinator for major events including the United Nations General Assembly Millennium Summit.
In 2006, ADT Roddini transferred to FLETC in Glynco, Georgia, as a Senior Instructor, and performed instructional duties in the Enforcement Operations Division and the Investigative Operations Division. In 2007, she was promoted into a leadership position and served in various divisions or directorates throughout the organization.
She is a graduate of the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program and has been executive certified by the Office of Personnel Management. ADT Roddini's formal education includes a master's degree in educational leadership and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
