FLETC Recognizes Veterans Day 2018

Veterans Day Banner Image
For Immediate Release

On November 11, America celebrates Veterans Day. Nearly 50 percent of FLETC staff are veterans who continue to serve the flag as federal employees. Our veterans felt a duty, an obligation to protect the liberties many take for granted. This Veterans Day, we honor the service and sacrifice of our brave men and women and their families, and are grateful to our veterans on staff who continue to serve their country.

I hope you will take some time to view our FLETC 2018 Veterans Day Video. It features FLETC staff who are veterans sharing what drew them to service and why they continue to serve their nation as federal employees. I hope you will also enjoy the photographs you’ll see of your FLETC colleagues and our partners from their days in the military. The video also features our veterans reciting the Federal Government oath of office, reaffirming their commitment to service as FLETC employees.  Their stories speak to the heart of public service.  Please join me in thanking our veterans.
