Description

The program focuses the guardian ethos, key practices of exemplary leadership, the importance of understanding human behavior, emotional intelligence, yourself, and the motivators and values of those you lead.  The program addresses current challenges in law enforcement leadership and creative thinking for problem solving.  Instructors facilitate discussions and interactive exercises that enable participants to engage others and apply leadership concepts and principles introduced in the program.  This program includes individual DISC/Motivators and Emotional Intelligence assessments, which participants complete before the program and review in class. This program is highly recommended before attending the Law Enforcement Supervisors Leadership Training Program (LESLTP).

Prerequisites

Applicants must be sworn law enforcement officers/agents or law enforcement support personnel employed by a federal, state, local or tribal agency or department.
