Description

The FLETC provides training on Community First Aid, the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Adult, Child and Infant in accordance with the established curriculum certified by the Health and Safety Institute/American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).  The same curriculum provides students attending the FLETC Center Basic Programs with a two-year ASHI certification. The Basic First Aid and Safety Training (BFAST) extends the opportunities for the FLETC and Participating Organizations (PO) instructional staff to receive the same lifesaving skills from ASHI.

 

Prerequisites

1.  The BFAST attendance prerequisite includes a Computer Based Training be completed prior to the beginning of class.
